About Colinwell

Colinwell is one of the leading concrete block manufacturers, established in the 1880s, it is a family run business, that began life quarrying limestone and basalt, before evolving over the years to now offer a diverse range of concrete block products that it distributes throughout the UK and Ireland.

Colinwell uses its wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge of the masonry industry to produce and distribute a range of products, including the Allan Block Retaining Wall System, Martello Stone Walling System, Architectural Masonry, Fair Face / Paint Grade Masonry and Colinwell Acoustic Masonry. All of which are manufactured to the highest quality standards.

Current Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Graduate to join one of the UK and Ireland's leading concrete block manufacturers.

The successful candidate will first spend 6 months based in our Belfast based head office, before relocating to our export market (England) for 12 months.

The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, promoting, managing, and developing relationships with a variety of companies in the construction industry with the overall objective of opening new accounts, increasing sales and further strengthening Colinwell’s business and profile.

As part of the job the graduate will also undertake a fully funded Post Graduate Diploma in International Marketing with Ulster University.

 Department: Sales Department

 Responsible to: Sales Director

 Contract: Fixed 18 Months with possibility of extension

 Salary: Negotiable depending on experience 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, initiate, and deliver a research project exploring the export of an innovative new acoustic masonry block to the GB Market.
  • Ensure that Colinwell’s CRM system is kept up to date.
  • Actively target new specifiers and contractors.
  • Follow up project opportunities and customer requirements within agreed timeframes.
  • Attend sales review meetings to evaluate performance against agreed objectives.
  • Develop strong customer relationships.
  • Use our Colinwell’s value added services to build customer relationships.
  • Plan your diary in accordance with Colinwell’s procedures.
  • Attend appropriate networking events and tradeshows.
  • Educate yourself on all Colinwell’s product offerings.

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Working in a safe manner, minimising hazards to ensure the safety of other staff and clients.
  • Comply with Colinwell’s policies and procedures.
  • Have a flexible approach to duties and adopt a teamwork style across all departments. This may involve undertaking duties in support of the activities and services of other departments.
  • The nature of this position may, at times, necessitate working outside of normal contracted hours.

 

Education & Training
