Colinwell win the contract to supply blocks to the redevelopment of the Primark, Belfast.
Originally opened in 1787, the Bank Buildings are one of Belfast city centre’s longest standing and most iconic buildings. Taken over by Primark in 1979, it continues to be a key cornerstone in the commercial district in Belfast to this day.
With the redevelopment due to complete in the upcoming months, shoppers in 2018 will be thrilled to see the Primark store grow a massive 32,100 square feet to a total of 84,200 square feet.
With the project itself having such a high profile as well as great significance in the public eye, it was imperative that reliable and experienced parties were selected to maintain optimal proficiency whilst also minimising any interruption for such a high-traffic zone. As such, Colinwell Masonry were the obvious choice for supplying the blocks to the project .
Colinwell Masonry have been regularly supplying locally sourced and manufactured common blocks to the site over the last few months; allowing for steady progression of the development. The particular blocks chosen, were selected due to their strength, versatility and fantastic reliability for use in construction. In addition to this, with the cost-effectiveness, added sound insulation and fire resistance qualities, it was a simple decision.
